Our Goals
Think of BaristaBot as a kinetic sculpture that makes artisanal coffee. We put the inner workings on display so our users can experience and see every step of the coffee brewing process.
BaristaBot set out to make coffee brewing a visually engaging experience that brings back to the surface some of what has been locked away behind the black box of today’s instant coffee machines. BaristaBot has the flair of a real barista while fully automating the coffee brewing process. It is as much a visual as it is a tasting experience.

Our Journey Each of us came into this project with specialized backgrounds that contributed to the overall system. However, we chose to explore design methods, softwares, and materials that were new to us. This meant that we learned many of the skills necessary to create BaristaBot independently.
