Goal

Our goal was to create an engaging and reactive jukebox experience. In other words, a modernized jukebox that plays music, interacts with the user in an engaging way and reacts to the music that it plays.

The Focus

We came into our project with ideas ranging from a hand that can sign ASL to environment-sensitive art pieces. Through much ideation and exploring of our possibilites, we came upon the joint idea of combining a jukebox with an LED-cube. From that moment on, we had a clear vision of something musical, flashy and modern.

As a team, we agreed that our priority was learning over outcome. After mapping out our individual strengths and weaknesses, members generally took on tasks outside their main skill set. While this meant our final product may have been more advanced if we changed our focus, we gained more lasting knowledge from the experience instead.
