Dream Final Product
A comfortable, durable shoe that replaces Google maps, your headphones and your fitbit all in one.
Wearable tech that gives you directions using something tangible.
We wanted to create a product that would be accessible for as many people as possible. Thus, our product uses motors to deliver directions, which doesn't require sight or hearing. We want people to be able to move freely about this world without worrying about having to check their phone while they're biking on the streets or walking through an unfamiliar neighborhood at night. Our app eliminates the need to check your phone or listen to directions as you travel.
Our project has three main parts to it, mechanical, electrical, and software designs. Each one flowed through different versions as our project changed. The general story-line flow between all of them is that the app sends data over bluetooth to the arduino, which sends a signal to the PCBs to vibrate the motors. All of the electronics and the batteries to power them are housed in our shoe attatchment.
