About Us
A tele-robotic hand that mimics the motion and position of a User's gloved hand was made. But who made it?
We are a group of passionate enginneering students, from Olin College of Engineering, who spent a little over two months developing our tele-robotic hand for a class called Principles of Engineering. The project required us to develop a product that had significant Software, Electrical and Mechanical Systems. When faced with this assignment, we decided we didn't want to do something pointless, we wanted to do something significant, that had positive applications in society. So we set out to put together a tele-robotic hand, due to inspiration we found in the medical field. Where robotics are used for surgical procedures that require more precision than a human hand can handle. Due to budget, experience, and time, we couldn't get our hand to reach the degree of performance of its professional grade counterparts, however we are still immensely proud to share our work with you! P.S. click on our pics for our linkedins (if we have one), otherwise email us if you want to reach out!

Mason Grabowski
mgrabowski@olin.edu
Mason worked on the mechanical design for the hand assembly, with a heavy focus on 3d printed compliant mechanisms and flexures. Outside of POE, Mason spends his time alone with nature, or working on Olin's Design Build Fly team.

Mads Young
myoung@olin.edu
Mads is a mechanical engineer who is proudest of helping to precision machine the aluminum structure of RGPT's hand, especially the shaft with the combination spur-and-miter gears. In addition to POE, she can also be found working on Olin's BAJA SAE team, giving tours of the Olin campus for Olin Admissions, and woodworking in the Olin Shop.

Jasmine Kamdar
jkamdar@olin.edu
Jasmine is a mechanical engineer who leveraged this project to learn about writing firmware and perfecting mechanical systems. Outside of PoE, Jasmine enjoys working on the autonomous tractor research group and the Olin BAJA SAE team.

Jamie Santiago
jsantiago@olin.edu
Jamie is an Electrical Engineer who designed the user glove, wrote firmware for the control of the fingers on the hand, and designed this website. Outside of PoE, Jamie does research for Solar Furnaces, and is Teacher's Assistant for the Modeling and Simulation Class at Olin. Jamie also loves to read, listen to music and play basketball.

Ever Gonzalez
egonzalez@olin.edu
Ever writes software, integrates systems, and manages the team. As the token junior robotics engineer on the team, he shepherded the team towards integrating subsystems, and testing all the components of the design. Outside of POE, he can be found trying to get a job and programming machines to learn.
