During class, we met and did our retro with plus-deltas and made a kaizen. The kaizen was integrating earlier because last sprint, we had put the electrical and mechanical together the night before the sprint review.
We made our sprint goal to be a fully functional MVP where we incorporate multiple notes, have a higher mechanical finish, and integrate our fog machine.
Mechanical system:
Dimensions of the overall structure, mirrors, aesthetics, materials, photodiode wires and mounting, fog machine, false bottom and sides, mounts!
Electrical System:
We want to order our components, populate board, ADSR with Arduino, figure out wiring, appearance, laser powering, and potentially ordering our PCB around the end/after the sprint (stretch).
We made some team decisions regarding the overall aesthetics of the project. This included having tubes on the back, along with a certain acrylic top, the speaker being right below the keyboard, using mirrors to redirect the laser so that we can shine it up the tube, and decided to finish putting in our orders in the order sheet.
We have implemented the ADSR signal on a single note! Now it sounds less computerized.
Mirrors, mirrors, mirrors! We had another team meeting after Annie and Katie met to hash out the feasibility of using the mirrors to redirect the lasers. In the meeting we confirmed dimensions and discussed the mechanical tasks at hand while Katie leaves for the weekend. We also determined the last few user experience design decisions that need to be made before finalizing the overall structure. We now are using clear pipes, with photodiodes mounted on the top of each.
