Sprint 4

Our final push!

Sprint goals:

We want to get the full MVP functioning within the week. We also want to finish the CAD, laser cut files, and assemble housing (which will take us about 4 days, independent of other systems). We also hope to finalize design and create pressure regulator/secondary piping unit. We plan on scaling up based off of MVP progress. We might be able to cut off the end of the pipe, and keep adding the same unit in order to further scale up from 16 nozzles, should we feel that we have the time to because of our piping design! Mechanical housing scaling is as simple as adding more unit blocks as well (plus a couple supports). We hope to upgrade to our larger power supply and switch registers (which already work w/ LEDs). We also hope to continually improve code to print more interesting patterns/images.

Final Push

In Sprint 4, we took our CAD-ed dreams for Sprint 3 and made them reality. In the first week, we laser cut our entire mechanical system(we even had to buy more hardboard, too).

Mechanical Progress

This sprint, we scaled up our entire system from 4 to 16 nozzles. We created an overflow pipe and constructed our housing out of lasercut parts.

Electrical Progress

Despite short circuiting a single mosfet, we scaled up our validated electrical system from 4 to 16 nozzles. We simply scaled up the system that we previously used with mosfets and shift registers.

Software Progress

This sprint we scaled up from 4 to 16 nozzles. We also integrated and created many more patterns than we initially had for our system.
