Meet the Team

Bios and Pictures
  • Jane Sieving

    Software/Electrical

Jane is the reason we have most of our electrical components, returned everything we don’t need, and can actually drive this board. She’s spent countless hours doing dark magic to get our motors to run, tuning values with velostat, and fixing mechanical work when the only mechE on the team overlooks a major component. We wouldn’t have made it this far without Jane and hope she gets reimbursed really soon.

  • Jillian MacGregor

    Electrical/Mechanical

Jill is our determined electrical lead, mechE, and part time software developer. Really, there’s nothing she can’t do when she sets her mind to it. Jill’s enthusiasm for longboards has grown significantly throughout this process, and we’re all convinced she’s actually an ESC whisperer. Although we couldn’t meet her goals for an electrical system, we hope she had as much fun on a team with us, as we had working with her.

  • Madi Wyatt

    Mechanical

Madi is the only mechE on the team, and there’s a good reason why. We’re convinced she’ll break any computer she touches, even if she means well. She’s always trying to keep morale up, even if that means bad puns and team health activities that might break the team (she may have an ice skating obsession). She’s happy she’s successfully learned how to longboard and is excited for the final product.

  • Noah D'Souza

    Electrical/Software

Noah has been enthusiastically working on this project - writing software, doing magic with ESCs, and learning how to use most of the tools in the shop.. safely. As a member of the electrical and software systems, Noah has worked very hard to make the velostat work, and has spent too many hours fighting with our ESC. Thankfully he’s all one piece, and has been an amazing addition to our team.

  • Nathan Shuster

    Software

Bang! Crash! Thud! What’s that you ask? Oh, probably just Nathan running into something… again. But no worries, he’ll be back next week and ready to keep working on the project. Adorned with a shiny black helmet, Nathan is ready to get back in the game and get this project on its feet - or your feet on this project? However you want to look at it. Either way, you can probably catch him building the website, and we are very happy he is with us as we finish up this project.
